The Origin of Karate Joe was the first comic I wrote and illustrated in the 'Karate Joe' series. It is the simplest, shortest and least complicated/detailed of the three.

At night when Joe went home, he would take the darkest, dankest, most forebodding and out of the way alleys he could find, in order to avoid the roving gangs of malicious school kids, who would wait for him to walk home so they would have someone to spit on and ridicule. Life was rough for Joe. (Run-on sentence?)
