Robert & Kim were stationed in Sugar Grove West Virginia from 1995-1998. While we were there, we went White Water Rafting on the New River (more than once). During one of our trips (in Aug, of 1997), the company we rafter with (Songer Whitewater) video taped the trip. Kim’s parents were with us during the trip (Kary, Sharon, Ted, Kim and myself) rafted the New River - Class V rapids. This was the trip where ‘Senator Khadethafhanaghyn from the planet Ritz Cracker’ had his tragic accident’. Robert injured his face/eye at Jumpers rock. We finished the rafting trip, but Robert’s injuries were severe, requiring surgery and numerous months of recovery.
