Leo worked for the US Postal Service for an unknown number of years (more than twenty less than thirty), but retired in 1960 as the Postmaster for West De Pere. I (Robert Vaessen) recall Leo telling me that "back then, you had to memorize every name and address on your route in order to pass the postmaster examination".
